Criteria wrap-up: Specialist Properties

We've made a whole bunch of criteria enhancements so far this year to help you help more customers. Here's a wrap-up of the enhancements we've made around specialist properties.
Summary of changes |
HMOs and MUBs |
- No prior landlord experience considered for all BTL applications, now including HMOs and MUBs
|
Property Types |
- Properties adjacent to public houses and petrol stations now considered
- Right to Buy properties accepted across all tiers
- Enhanced acceptance and consideration of non-standard property types
- Properties with Possessory Titles now considered
- Commercial element of mixed-use properties now allowed up to 40%
|
Flats |
- No cap on number of floors in a block
- Lift no longer required even where 4+ floors
|
Extended postcodes |
- Now covering additional postcodes in Scotland
|
