Paul will give an update on keeping up with the changing demands of an ageing population

"Is the 25 year mortgage dead?"  Peter will discuss how customer needs are changing, how flexibility is becoming a key requirement and why the 25-year mortgage formula is becoming less appropriate. He will also discuss the issues customers face and how mortgage lenders and intermediaries can work effectively to deliver flexible solutions that help people buy their home.

10.20        Hans Geberbauer, Chief Executive Officer, Foundation Home Loans

One year in as a buy-to-let mortgage provider, Hans will discuss the challenges of setting up as a new lender, the changing landscape of the market and what the future holds.

Paul will cover a range of topics from the latest Government and regulatory moves on buy-to-let through the FCA thematic and competition studies to the question of what effect the latest raft of Government schemes will have on the market. He will aim to follow up any other issues of topical interest at the time of the conference.

The European Mortgage Credit Directive will be introduced on 21 March 2016. Robert will look at the changes in the second charge market place and how regulation had developed since the Consumer Credit Act was implemented in the 1970s and what this may mean for the future.
