The recent thematic reviews from the regulator have considered amongst other things the investment process, research and due diligence. These reviews have helped them consolidate the root causes to poor consumer outcomes in three areas.
In this round of workshops we'll be taking a look to expand upon these with particular emphasis on:
- Risk mapping misalignment – ‘is that balanced portfolio a balanced risk’.
- How do you measure/assess risk?
- Research and due diligence, how hard can it be?
We'll make sure you get the most up to date compliance information in a regulatory round up.
You'll also hear from select providers, Architas will take an in-depth look at the current market environment, identifying and exploring key themes and opportunities across a range of asset classes globally and what this means for client portfolios.
Aviva will discuss Pensions Freedoms, one year on. This session will look at how people have been accessing (or retaining) different sized pension funds and the messages for advising in the future. Using the latest data and research to give you the most informed position, and probe moral, ethical and specific business challenges that may occur with older clients.
Prudential will be on hand to debate the Investment Conundrum. Market volatility continues to challenge the advisory task of matching customer needs and objectives with the impact of extending the consideration, research and practice resource required in order to address issues such as risk, reward, volatility, income and tax.
