Another successful MBE North

28 March 2024

Mortgage Business Expo (MBE) North is celebrating another successful event, held this year on March 19th at Manchester Central.

Attendees on the day enjoyed a full line-up of speakers and panellists from across the mortgage market, as well as the FIBA Specialist Property Finance Club seminars and exhibition sections.

The event also featured informative training sessions hosted by the Mortgage Marketing Forum and Google Digital Garage.

One of the highlights of the day included the keynote speaker, Paul Broadhead, Head of Mortgages and Housing at the Building Societies Association (BSA), providing insights into the economic outlook for the housing and mortgage sector.

There were also engaging seminars covering the bridging and Buy-to-Let (BTL) market, specialist property finance, protection and general insurance, and the role of technology in the mortgage market.

Mike Mikunda, event director for MBE, commented:

“We were thrilled with how the programme of seminars and panel sessions at MBE Manchester were received.

“It’s always great to bring the event to Manchester, and it’s been another successful year. We would like to thank all of the sponsors and exhibitors for their support and hard work, as well as our media partner Square 1 Media. We look forward to returning to Manchester again next year.”

Chloe Harrison, Mortgage & Protection Specialist, Tri Plus Financial Ltd added:

"A worthwhile event with a good mixture of seminar topics and representation from lenders/industry bodies."

Rob Barnard, Intermediary Relationship Director, Pepper Money, also added:

“Another great day acting as Chair at Manchester’s MBE North.

“Great sessions in the lecture theatres with Martin Reynolds & Adam Tyler and thanks to all the panellists that joined the various debate sessions, who all added great content to the respective sessions. All the debates shared the positive theme of quiet optimism for 2024.”
