We've just written a column for Mortgage Introducer magazine about the need to make Environmental Surveys a mandatory part of the mortgage lending process. We believe this type of report should be mandatory because there is so much contaminated Brownfield land in the UK that is now being used for housing – and not enough advisers know enough about the problems that can raise their ugly heads (e.g. toxicity, radon, contamination).
But what's your view. Do you feel strongly, like we do?
Whatever your opinion on the subject, we'd love to hear it.
We're going to be writing quite a lot about this subject in the specialist financial press, and your views, opinions and anecdotes will help shape and influence what we write going forward. We may even be able to use some of your content in our articles – giving you a suitable plug, of course!
