The consumer education and awareness campaign continues to gather pace and we are also seeing a noticeable increase in the number of independent financial adviser firms requesting the video case studies for staff training purposes to support advisers and para-planners improve engagement with financial protection need in all its forms.
We were hoping to announce the fourth family before Christmas however; the onset of the festive party period would reduce impact from a consumer media point of view so we are going to leave the announcement of our next family until early in the New Year.
There will be ongoing social media content over the festive period including follow up videos with the existing families. Our most recent video has had almost 6,000 views in just over a week – See it here https://www.facebook.com/7Families or www.7families.co.uk if you haven’t already.
It is worth also taking a close look at the comments coming in on the 7families facebook page which show how other disabled people are connecting with the various stories and which show a spirit of resilience that isn't often portrayed in the mainstream media. I was particularly struck by a comment from another chap who had a stroke who said 'the only way I feel better is by being independent'
Remember, the aim of the campaign….. Is simply to prompt consumers to think about their financial vulnerability and what they might do about it....... The families being featured are based in different parts of the country, come from a diverse variety of backgrounds and are all experiencing the financial impacts of a range of differing health conditions and injuries.
