14 Apr 2014 Can ANYONE get through on the phone without having to wait an age? Why don't these companies realise the stress they cause?!!!!!!!!!!!!
10 Mar 2014 I class Halifax as a Good lender but now lenders like Coventry and Newcastle are paying 0.4% proc fees it makes me look twice at the 0.31% I get paid off Halifax.
29 Nov 2013 As bad as it ever was. No help, no knowledge, incorrect information, lack of support, delays, errors. If it falls out of box, nobody is able to pick it up and put it back. All I ever hear is that I'm the only one having problems, and that other Brokers claim they have quickest turnaround, best U/W, best products etc etc etc. Not what I hear when speaking to other Brokers at Network meetings, and I've never found that. O, and I don't want your B****Y GI products!!!!!

26 Jun 2013 difficult on line unless you use it regularly-normal apps ,further advance and product transfer.Cannot get through on phone without 5/10 min wait.How do they get away with BDM not available by phone-only email???

8 May 2013 Halifax best in my case at the moment four cases sent up and four mortgage offers within a week. What's not to like if the case fits and your not after the best rate.
9 Apr 2008 Halifax don't want brokers ! Look at their website and they have better deals available that aren't on their intermediary mortgage range. This has been the case for at least 9 months so we should stop using them. A BDM I spoke to was apparently surprised but did not come back to me with an explanation.

22 Aug 2007 Just had a case complete in 21 days not bad compared to most. I have never seen a BDM or even spoken to one. I don't think the intermediary market is important to them we are but an aggrevation

23 May 2007 Halifax is the worst offender when it comes to service. Its BDMs, why don't they just stop bombarding us with emails and come and face the reality and see the reall people whose business ultimately pays their salary...

12 Oct 2006 how this company is the biggest lender is baffling, lose things, don't answer phones, even complaints from existing customers who come in wanting to move from them to anywhere!
15 Jul 2006 IT good, products ok, support needs sorting. App submitted and part way through transfered to different processing centre, apparently I moved to Scotland from Northern England. different document requirements experience between different processing centres. Fact that I cant call BDM or get past service centre advisers is not help.
20 Mar 2006 Do Halifax know what a BDM is? Do they know the benefits or a broker being able to speak to an underwriter? Apparently not. Products are OK but weary of a lender where the call centre staff wont give you their surname for file notes!
21 Feb 2006 Up until about 6 months ago, Halifax got about 20% of all of the business we do. The most of any single lender. Their rates were good and service was great. But they seem to have gone massively off the boil. Very poor rates, very low income multiples and mediocre service. What has happened?
17 Feb 2006 They don't need brokers, they nobble the market by their branch business. Rates not great, cross-selling major headache. Just as well they don't source very often, saves me having to use them more than once in a blue moon. Basically I loathe them!
4 Feb 2006 Good on the whole shame you can't speak direct to underwriters as call centre average. Please remove MIGP from loans over 90% its a rip off!!

3 Feb 2006 Bit slower than would like,particularly if any additional info requested, but ok on the whole. Quite fussy underwriting & documentation requirements at relatively low LTVs!
