18 Dec 2019 Check this out, 4 to 5 weeks into the application. I won’t be using them again and they said that fees would be refunded only to go back on their word and have not refunded them £695 for a valuation. “Further to a review of the above application by our Credit Risk team, information has come to light which has led us to decline this application. I regret that we are unable to provide you with any details surrounding the information that has led to this outcome and we will be refunding the fees paid by the applicants. You will appreciate that decisions of this nature are not taken lightly. If you have any queries please contact our telephony team on 0800 ==== ==== although please note they will be unable to furnish you with any information relating to the reasons for the application being declined. 22 Aug 2018 Shocking is all I can say. Placed a New Build H2B with Precise due to clients having adverse and applicant one having a settled DMP 18 months ago. Case submitted, all info provided as and when requested by u/w and today they tell us that because the client settled the debts that were in the DMP himself they won't do the case until the debts have been settled for 3 years?? Step Change have confirmed the debts that were entered into the plan and the amount the client paid via them. The client provided proof of settling the balances in Feb 2017 himself and Precise now tell us they have a rule in their criteria that they won't lend were the DMP wasn't settled via Step Change. What difference does it make who settled the debts? They tell us that if the client were still in a DMP they would do it but as he has settled the debts himself they won't. This is the second case we have had declined by Precise where they have dragged up some piece of underwriting that is not in the criteria guide and yet we as brokers are supposed to know!!! Can't see us placing cases there again.
22 Nov 2017 What a shower ! If I wasn't desperate and this wasn't the only choice I had, I wouldn't go near this lot. The most pedantic and inconsistent underwriting I have ever come across. It's like they don't want to do business and just keep trying to find something else to nit pick at to delay issuing an offer. I gave them ALL information upfront but then they didn't bother to read it. There's about 4 different underwriters all looking at the same case so there is no consistency and no one person has an understanding so they all keep putting their 2 pennoth in. Avoid like the plague unless you happen to like being messed around continually. oh, and one more thing, they have a nasty habit of deregistering you for no apparent reason so you have to keep reregistering and then, of course, you lose access to any submitted cases.
21 Feb 2016 Placed some bridging through them last year and they are not client focussed. Lots of mistakes from the staff on the case which resulted in extra work load for the broker. I just hope others can better them on rates so I don't have to deal with them again (Dr Green)

24 Mar 2014 I was wary based on feedback on here, but an excellent experience for me in dealing with this lender. App made 7/3, offered 24/3 on good terms. Kept me informed throughout and a good system. Sales Director very helpful throughout process.
9 May 2013 Got one approved with Precise and picked the rate. THEN, went on to complete the mortgage application only to find the system filters down and tells you the rate they can have. the old GMAC used to do this. very clever but annoying and wish I had known that before. still, very lucky to place it. also, they do not offer another rate at the end of the term so its SVR ONLY and the mortgages are not portable.
