2 Jul 2015 Xplan mortgage sourcing. Woeful with fundamental design flaw in the data input fields. Apparently it was tested in-house for six months, obviously not by any mortgage adviser. Found the design error in 10 minutes. Have not had feedback since last conversation.
4 Mar 2009 I had a look at Brain and Trigold to replace my M2000 system and was very disappointed in trigold who claim to be the best at everything and quite frankly they're not! The system was difficult to install and when I called for support nobody answered the first time I tried and then i got someone who didn't know their a**e from their elbow. they kept on saying they were doing data transfer programs but haven't delivered and I'm then led to believe it's very limited data, no documents and M2000 haven't even seen it. It's Mortgage Brain for me by a country mile.
14 May 2008 Have used Trigold for 6 years, usually pretty good with Compliance material, but why nothing introduced for FSA's new TCF requirements? Am told upon enquiring that it's being developed, but nothing's been announced and to be honest - ...shutting the stable door, etc....!!
12 Mar 2008 Needs to add new filters to the sourcing system e.g.new flats,LTV in view of current changes in criteriaof a lot of lenders.
11 Jan 2008 I've been using it now for about 6 years. It's not great but I only use it as a guide. If you do that then it will work for you.
10 Nov 2007 Used correctly and with some common sense it's brilliant. Used as a replacement to knowing the market enough to use it well it's pretty mediocre. All in all though I think it's the best option.
30 Oct 2007 Its benefit is its simplicity as nothing can replaced a broker's brain. However, I would like to see a separate portal for BTL sourcing from Trigold, where pay calculations are spot on accurate. It would also be good to see a portal that does all the income calculations (affordability and multiples). Though Trigold tries to account for these, it is not accurate and adds time to the sourcing process. I would rather source a prime deal and then, where necessary, compare to the income terms for each lender.

16 Mar 2007 Having recently left Sesame to go DA I had to back up my Sesame Trigold before re-installing my Trigold DA software. CAUTION: the Trigold IT person talked me through the backup process. Fairly straightforward I thought, until I re-installed to find ALL DATA had gone. 'Sorry the backup failed, have you kept a backup anywhere else?' was the response. Make sure you back up Trigold data elsewhere, do not rely on them to talk you accurately through the process. Fortunately I had saved everything with a 3rd party abck up provider who helped me re-install all data.
13 Mar 2007 They're raking it in and they're not improving their product! Filtering is inaccurate with not enough individual options to filter by. They should be working more closely with lenders and perhaps even other sourcing systems so that the lenders can automatically send each system comprehensive and accurate information in the shortest amount of time. It has the basics and it could be brilliant, wiping the floor with all the other sourcing systems but they don't seem to take any pride in making their product grow and improve. Poor show Trigold!
12 Feb 2007 You always have to check the affordability as most will be wrong, search on adverse is useless as it never gets the dates and amounts to agree with the criteria of the product, the use of refer as an option is just time wasting, not being able to transfer all data just limits the usefulness of the product, have put these points to TG on numerous occasions but ignored. Do like the ability to work out true cost of mortgage over given time periods but would like to see this with or without added fees.
8 Feb 2007 Not really reliable for busy professionals. One comment was - "its handy as a guide" but who wants a guide when its accuracy that counts with clients our limited TIME. Afterall we are in the 21st century - buck up trigold
8 Feb 2007 Compared to the rest, Trigold is the best, I just wish that the lenders who sent the product data to trigold would send the correct info or of course it could be the person at trigold putting the info in wrong.
22 Nov 2006 find products which normally dont match what the lenders have on offer, problems updating (have to do it twice for it to work) rang trigold, sent me a new disc still not sorted!

21 Nov 2006 Version 7 is garbage for 100%+. you dont do the job you should do. Are you taking monthly payments off people? If so.....YOU ARE NOT DELIVERING!!! HOW MUCH A MONTH??? SORT IT
11 Aug 2006 Been using it heavily for 5 months and whilst I like it and think it has a lot of good points, have started to find quite a few errors-some basic yet completely screw up the results. they have acknowledged latest error and technical chap I spoke to seems helpful and eager to sort but its early days so shall wait and see. But unlikely to change just yet as I do like it overall but its annoying to see its website saying how accurate it is when plainly it isn't and it has a long way to go.
20 Jul 2006 This is frustrating because it is nearly very good! The software is capable, but unwieldly, and not used friendly. We need to multi filter by priority, and then it woul be a more accurate & capable system. Still te best out there right now, but that's not saying much!

2 Apr 2006 Terrific tool when I think back to the days of mounds of lender updates, but do not depend on the information - it is a guide, not an answer. Check Lender website for confirmation! KFIs are generally reliable.
