Adviser feedback ratings for The Dragon Network

21 Nov 2024 I have to say, my experience with Dragon has been exceptional! From my first calls with their onboarding team and support throughout the onboarding process with business plans and documents was fantastic. They really helped me through my first cases and explained everything in detail - especially handling tricky cases and unique customers. Their support has been available for every area of the process from compliance to marketing efforts! I've recently had to step away from the industry due to personal circumstances but I thought I'd leave a review for Dragon before I do - for anyone looking for and thinking of joining a new network, Dragon 100% get my recommendation.
18 Oct 2024 I feel it’s time to leave an honest review of Dragon Network, especially since Chris has been asking current advisors to leave 5-star Google ratings. The reality is that the network might be acceptable for newly qualified brokers, but things change drastically once you obtain CAS status. At that point, they send you a contract heavily in their favour. You're then targeted with strict performance goals, and if you fail to meet them, your commission is significantly reduced. Worse still, they take ownership of your clients, meaning they can remove them from you at any time. I decided to leave Dragon Network to join a different network, and that’s when the real problems started. They stopped paying my proc fees without notifying me. When I asked why, Sarah told me they don’t pay advisors after they hand in their notice. I inquired further about how I could receive the money I was owed, and they gave an unreasonable response—asking the new network to novate my clients. This is unheard of for mortgage proc fees, as it typically only applies to protection clients. When I pushed back, they cited a contract clause that essentially lets them withhold payments due under Clause ‘14.11. that Dragon be under no obligation to make payments of any credit balances that would otherwise fall due to be paid’ As a result, I’ve lost £16k in commission, including protection case fees. On top of that, Dragon forces you into non-indemnity payments for protection fees (paid monthly instead of a lump sum). They also demand that you repay all commissions, even those that might never be paid to Dragon if a client cancels their policy, and they won’t novate your clients unless you comply. My interactions with Chris have been unpleasant, to say the least. He speaks condescendingly and constantly reminds you of his supposed "100 years of experience," claiming no one knows more than him. Despite numerous emails to the directors, I’ve never received a response. In conclusion, if you’re looking for a network that locks you in and makes leaving costly, Dragon is the one for you. But if you value flexibility and fair treatment, you should steer clear of this company. This is the truth, despite what Sarah might claim, and I urge any advisor considering Dragon to carefully re-read their contract before committing. I would strongly advise staying away from this dreadful company.
28 Jun 2024 Absolutely awful network - steer clear! I left because they couldn't give me the financial opportunities that other networks give, and they are now withholding all of my procuration fees for the business I did under them although they have been paid by the providers. Dreadful!
11 May 2022 Great support, cannot ask for more.
23 Sep 2021 More of a training provider rather than a mortgage network. No good if you want to grow your business.
