Stonebridge Group hits £10k with summer charity drive

Stonebridge Group, the mortgage and insurance network, has today (13th July 2016) announced its staff has raised £10k in recent weeks with a range of charity events.
Over the last few weeks employees of Stonebridge have been engaged in a number of events and challenges, with all money raised going to the company’s chosen charity for 2016, Macmillan Cancer Support.
These included the weekly dress-down day held each Friday in Stonebridge’s offices which raised £375 and a ‘Fashion Victim’ day where all staff dressed in the worst possible clothes they could find which raised £339.
On top of this three members of staff took place in a ‘Pretty Muddy’ run which raised £195, and finally 14 members of staff took part in a ‘Paint Run’ which raised over £4k.
Stonebridge is committed to doubling all money raised by staff during the year which took the total from these events alone up to £10k.
The money raised for Macmillan during June meant that Stonebridge was amongst the top 1% of all donators on the Just Giving website.
Later in the year, Stonebridge will be holding a men versus women netball match, with all proceeds again going to Macmillan.

The last few weeks have been particularly wonderful with many not just willing to dip into their pocket but also putting themselves through some tough challenges in order to raise money. The least we can do as a business is match the money they raise and we are very pleased to announce the raising of £10k over the past weeks alone. We have plenty more activities lined up over the rest of the year and we are committed to raising as much money for Macmillan as we possibly can during the rest of 2016.”
