Conveyancing Association announce 2018 events and new venue for Annual Conference & Dinner
06 March 2018
The Conveyancing Association (CA), the leading trade body for the conveyancing industry, has today (6th March 2018) announced full details of its events for 2018 including a new venue for its Annual Conference & Dinner which takes place in December.
After three years at Chelsea Football Club, Stamford Bridge in London, the CA’s next Annual Conference & Dinner will be held on the 6th December at the Etihad Stadium in Manchester.
Once again, the conference will be headlined sponsored by CA Affiliate member, Infotrack, and will offer delegates a range of presentations and debates designed to outline the future for the industry and how conveyancing firms can make the most of the forthcoming changes and opportunities that will exist.
The full programme of Conference sessions will be published later in the year. The Conference will be followed by the Annual Dinner to which the CA is inviting all delegates to attend.
The CA has also outlined its other meetings and events for the year ahead.
Following a first Management Committee Meeting (MCM) and All-Members Meeting (AMM) which took place in February at Lord’s Cricket Ground, the next meetings including the CA’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held at the House of Commons on the 5th April.
While further MCM/AMM events will take place on 10th May 2018 at Affiliate member, Howdens’, offices in London and Lloyds of London; on the 28th June at Hilton Tower Bridge Hotel followed by the annual Groundsure river cruise; and finally the 19th October at the Grosvenor House Hotel followed by the ESTAS Conveyancing Awards.
Eddie Goldsmith, Chair of the Conveyancing Association and Partner in GWLegal, commented:
“2018 is already shaping up to a very busy year for the Association and we wanted to ensure that all our various members had the events in their calendars for the year ahead, including December’s Annual Conference & Dinner. After a very successful three years at Stamford Bridge, we wanted to move the event around the country particularly to an area where there are large numbers of CA member firms. This is why this year we’ll be making our mark at the Etihad Stadium, Manchester – home of what I suspect will be the 2017-18 Premier League Champions. We are in the process of putting together a very strong conference line-up, plus of course we’ll be holding the Annual Dinner which is not only a great event but one that raises significant money for charity.
“Throughout the rest of the year we’ll be holding our management committee and all-members’ meetings in a number of different locations, including our AGM which will be held once again at the House of Commons in April. These regular events give us the opportunity not only to provide updates on our workstreams, and engage with the membership, but to also tap into the huge level of experience and resource within the Association. It promises to be a very productive year and we have significant plans and ambitions that we’ll be delivering over this period and beyond. We’re looking forward to seeing all stakeholders at our various events throughout the year.”
