Changes to Shawbrook Residential sales team

After a long career spanning 8 years with the specialist lender, Head of Sales Paula Purdy has made the decision to leave Shawbrook to pursue other opportunities, whilst Matthew Batte joins as a BDM to support the Residential sales team.
Purdy was instrumental in building strong relationships in the market, focusing primarily on the successful 2nd Charge business, and has helped the Bank establish a firm bond with its core distribution of broker partners.
Commenting on her departure, Jeremy Law, Managing Director, Shawbrook Residential Mortgages; “Paula is one of the longest serving members of the team and has made the decision to move on to fresh challenges after taking some time off. I would like to thank her for being such an integral part of the business and wish her all the best for the future.”
Paula Purdy comments; “I’ve loved my time at Shawbrook and working with brokers for so long has been immensely rewarding given what we have managed to accomplish in this space. I’m hugely proud of what I have managed to achieve over the years with a great team alongside me and I look forward to the next chapter.”
Bolstering the sales team is Matthew Batte, who joins the Bank as a BDM after 10 years spent in sales, underwriting & management with First Trust Finance and Optimum Credit. This addition is representative of Shawbrook’s ongoing commitment to delivering a high level of personal service to its brokers, a trend that is set to continue into the second half of the year.
