Step One Finance announces new products and expands sales team for South and Wales

Product changes

UK specialist lender Step One Finance Limited (“Step One”) has announced new rates for its 2nd charge mortgage product range as well as improvements to its lending criteria.

Summary of key rate & criteria changes:

  • Up to 2% reduction in rate on many product selections
  • Revised assessment of adverse units for secured and unsecured credit
  • Reduction in Lender Fee on BTL mortgages to 2%
  • Continued ability to go to 80% LTV for Equitable charges, AVM’s, BTL’s and applications with multiple Adverse credit units.

New rates reductions will take effect from the 12th September 2018.
Please make your clients aware that re-issued quotes or offers that expire after the cut-off date may be on different terms.

New team hires

Step One is also pleased to announce that James Hamblin has been appointed as BDM for the South of England and David Burford for the Wales & West region. James and David have worked in financial services for over 25 years and will work together with Haydyn Jones who covers the North region for Step One. James and David have both held business development roles with packagers and lenders and join Step One with a wealth of experience.
