Business Ambassador for FinTech confirmed for The Finance Professional Show
02 October 2018
The UK Prime Minister’s Business Ambassador for FinTech, Alastair Lukies CBE, has been confirmed as the chair of the fintech discussion panel at The Finance Professional Show.
A leading figure in the burgeoning UK fintech sector, Alastair was recognised as a Technology Pioneer by the World Economic Forum. He founded a platform connecting branches of government before going on to start Monetise, a system enabling established banks to build digital businesses.
Alastair, who has strong views on the radical changes in the financial services sector and believes that companies must remove their silo mentality in order to get the best out of their employees, will chair a panel of industry experts in a discussion about fintech, further details of which will be announced in the coming days.
Speaking ahead of The Finance Professional Show, Alastair Lukies CBE, says:
“Money itself has evolved and how we now live in a world in which technology businesses rule. The financial sector is witnessing a swarm of piranhas rather than one giant shark coming for their market, but it’s not all bad news as the UK is at the forefront of fintech. I’m looking forward to chairing what is sure to be a very lively discussion at The Finance Professional Show.”
Last week, James Alexander, the co-founder and former CEO of Zopa, was confirmed as the keynote speaker at The Finance Professional Show.
Now in its fifth year, the show will feature almost a large variety of lenders and providers and a CPD-certified multi-format conference programme.
This year’s event takes place at Olympia London on 7 November from 9.30am to 4.30pm and is sponsored by 365 Business Finance, Market Financial Solutions, Octopus Property, Kuflink Bridging, Just Cash Flow, Nucleus Commercial Finance and London Credit.
