Customers are being urged to deposit ‘nest eggs’ of a different kind with Leek United Building Society – to help a Derbyshire hospice…
The Society’s Derby Branch team have appealed for chocolate donations in aid of the Treetops Hospice Care annual Easter Egg Hunt.
Hundreds of children are set to take part in the event on Saturday 20 April, in the grounds of the hospice* in Derby Road, Risley, with all proceeds going towards Treetops’ annual running costs.
Coco Mercer, Leek United’s Derby Branch Manager, said: “The hospice does amazing work in the communities we serve, and we hope that customers and local businesses alike can donate as many Easter eggs as possible, to make the hunt a huge success.”
The Society’s city centre Branch in St James’s Street, Derby, will be taking Easter egg donations, until Thursday 18 April, when all eggs collected will then be handed over to Treetops. Eggs can also be dropped off at Leek United’s Ashbourne branch in Market Square.
Laura McWha, Corporate Fundraiser at the hospice, said: “We are delighted that Leek United has chosen to support their local hospice by collecting chocolate eggs for our Egg Hunt.
“We expect to welcome hundreds of families through our gates to take part in the event and look forward to handing out the donated chocolate. We want to say a huge thank you to Leek United for their continuous support to the hospice throughout the year, not just over the Easter period.”
