Spicerhaart Part Exchange enjoys another record year following 33% growth in business
20 June 2019
Spicerhaart Part Exchange and Assisted Move has enjoyed its most successful year to date following a 33% increase in business over the past 12 months.
Acting for builders and developers across the UK, Spicerhaart Part Exchange and Assisted Move provides a comprehensive range of part exchange and assisted move services, including its own ground-breaking funded part exchange proposition.
Spicerhaart Part Exchange and Assisted Move was launched in 2007 rebranded in 2017 and has enjoyed huge growth over the past few years, now acting for more than 70 clients.
In 2018, it enjoyed its most successful year to date after more than doubling in size and increasing business by 24%.
But 2019 has topped that, with even bigger growth than the previous year. Compared with the previous 12 months, June 2018 to June 2019 has seen a 51% uplift in the number of properties taken on, a 35% increase in the number of property sales agreed and a 33% increase in profit.
The business is still actively expanding and is looking to take on additional business development managers and office staff. The team is also relocating to a larger office in Sheffield next month.
Jan Biggins, National Sales Manager at Spicerhaart Part Exchange and Assisted Move says she thinks that the relatively slow housing market has encouraged more developers to look at adding a part-exchange and assisted move options for buyers:
“The property market has really plateaued over the past few years and developers need to adapt to this slower market and offer a 'complete package' to secure as many new build plot sales as possible.
“Developers are increasingly realising that if they don’t have part-exchange or assisted move options, they will miss out on those buyers who are not in a position to proceed straight away, so are increasingly looking to experts like us to help them.”
As part of the wider Spicerhaart group, the part-exchange and assisted move team has the support of numerous branches throughout England and Wales. This gives developers the peace of mind that they will get the property values right so they can part-exchange stock with confidence.
For those buyers whose current properties are not eligible for part-exchange - or they do not want to go down this route - the team can offer the assisted move option. In these cases, Spicerhaart Part Exchange and Assisted Move will handle the sale of the home buyer’s existing property at its full market value with the aim of a sale in four to six weeks.
Neil Knight, Business Development Director added:
“I think this shift in the market - combined with the fact that Spicerhaart are market leaders in the property sector - has been a key factor in the part-exchange and assisted move business’ growth.
“And we are not slowing down any time soon. We have the opportunity to grow even further and cover even more of the UK, so are keen to hear from anyone who would like to be a part of our expanding team.”
