40th anniversary at Leek United Branch…
30 October 2019
LEEK United’s town centre branch has been popular for Uttoxeter homebuyers and savers alike since the late 1970s…
And on Halloween – Thursday 31 October – Manager Michelle Prince and her team are inviting their customers to get in the spirit of things when they celebrate the Branch’s 40th anniversary.
They have already decked out their branch with imitation spiders, cobwebs, lanterns and other spooky decorations.
Staff are also planning to dress with a Halloween theme, and serve light refreshments to all those brave enough to venture through the door on the day…
“It’s scary to think where the last four decades have gone – but we really hope that customers will join us in celebrating our 40-year milestone…it should be a scream,” said Michelle.
Opened in 1979, the Branch put the ‘local’ into ‘local building society’ by moving into what used to be The Vine public house at 13 Market Place, Uttoxeter.
In recent years, the team have maintained close links with the Dove Valley First Responders, fundraising money – thanks to the generosity of staff and members – to help maintain life-saving medical aid cover for the busy market town and surrounding communities.
