The Right Mortgage and Protection Network join the Association of Mortgage Intermediaries

05 July 2022

We are delighted to announce that The Right Mortgage & Protection Network has now joined the trade body AMI – the Association of Mortgage Intermediaries.

Appointed Representatives of The Right Mortgage & Protection Network are now entitled to access to news via their monthly newsletter, regular updates on legal and regulatory issues that impact the mortgage market, and the Association of Mortgage Intermediaries’ website.

The website also comes with access to a wealth of factsheets and technical guidance, plus industry Viewpoints on Protection and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. AMI is here to protect and promote the commercial interests of its members firms. The core role is to lobby and campaign on behalf of the intermediary and ensure they are aware of change that is impending.

Furthermore, as part of our ongoing commitment to adding value to our network membership, we will not be passing this cost on to members meaning members will enjoy AMI membership at no additional cost to their business.

Ben Allen, Compliance Director of The Right Mortgage Network adds:

“Being part of a trade body such as AMI adds to our credibility and enhances our proposition. It also offers us the chance to increase engagement with the regulator. I have long admired the work that Rob Sinclair and everyone at AMI are doing. They really understand the challenges mortgage intermediaries are facing and provide an excellent platform along with necessary support to meet and overcome these.”

Rob Sinclair, Chief Executive of Association of Mortgage Intermediaries adds:

“AMI is pleased to welcome The Right Mortgage & Protection Network to membership. With the challenges facing the industry it is critical that AMI has the sector behind it and is able to listen to all voices. As we confront the Green agenda and changes to the Appointed Representative regime we look forward to working together to ensure balanced decisions”
