Melanie Spencer joins Target Group
24 June 2024
Melanie Spencer today joins Target Group, as growth and sales lead, to help drive Target’s sales and business development functions.
Target, a part of the 146,000-person strong Tech Mahindra group, is a leading provider of business process servicing and digital transformation. This incorporates mortgage servicing, mortgage originations and third-party administration. Outside of mortgages, amongst other things, Target provides and facilitates the direct debit mandates for both the DVLA and Television Licencing as well as dealing with car finance remediation.
In the mortgage world, at the end of last year Target launched Mortgage Hub, its state-of-the-art originations system, designed to be user rather than product-centric. The mortgage hub will re revolutionise the originations process. It provides both lender and broker with a single view of what is happening on every case so both know exactly what is happening at any given time saving lenders and brokers both time and money.
Melanie has joined the company to expand Target’s sales and reputation amongst the lender community, particularly with regards to Mortgage Hub. Melanie is a well-known professional in the industry, having been in the mortgage market for over 20 years. Over this time, she has held senior roles at Personal Touch, Twenty7Tech, Finova and OMS.
Speaking of her new role Melanie Spencer says: “Target is a remarkable company that is really going somewhere. It not only has the vision but also the wide array of solutions and resources to make a fundamental difference to the way lenders work. This positively impacts the mortgage journey for both brokers and borrowers while enabling lenders to become more efficient, saving them time, money and resources.
“The possibility to work with companies such as Target don’t come around every day, so when this role came my way, it was just too good an opportunity to turn down. I can’t wait to get started and show the world just how good Target is as a company and what a massive difference Mortgage Hub system can really make.”
Peter O’Connor, CEO of Target Group, added: “We spent over two years developing our new state-of-the-art mortgage system. Since then, we have been making sure that we have the right team in place to really make a difference, both to lenders and everyone we work with. Melanie’s appointment is a fundamental one in helping to show the world the next evolution of the mortgage journey assisted by Target.
“Melanie is both well known and well respected in the mortgage industry and I know that she will make a real difference, helping Target to grow while also helping all those who partner with us.”
