FLEET MORTGAGES ANNOUNCE APPOINTMENT OF NEW NORTH LONDON BDM
24 September 2024
Fleet Mortgages, the buy-to-let specialist lender, has today (24th September 2024) announced the appointment of a new Business Development Manager to cover the North London region.
David Lockwood starts with immediate effect and will be looking after, and cultivating new, advisory firm relationships in his region, focusing in on supporting their buy-to-let advice propositions and helping develop their landlord borrower activity.
With over five years’ experience in business and relationship management within the intermediary lending space, David joins Fleet from Coventry Building Society where he was a Field BDM; prior to this David worked at Metro Bank as a Telephone BDM and a Mortgage Helpdesk Representative.
He will report to Fleet Mortgages’ Sales Manager, Dave Husbands, and will work closely with Internal BDM for North London, Jason Blignaut.

Steve Cox, Chief Commercial Officer at Fleet Mortgages, commented:
“We’ve always had a considerable focus on having the best BDM team we could possibly have, as we know how important quality sales representatives are to advisers. So, we’re very pleased to be able to welcome David to the team, who comes to us with excellent experience, knowledge and understanding not just of the wider advisory marketplace, and their needs, but also specifically of the buy-to-let sector.
“David will be working closely with Jason to provide advisory firms in the North London region with a raft of support and resource, and specifically will be working with advisers to show them how Fleet can provide the finance they require for their landlord borrowers, across our three core product ranges – standard, limited company and HMO/multi-unit block.”
“I’m sure David will be an excellent addition to our team and we would urge advisers within his ‘patch’ to get in contact to see how he and Fleet can support their buy-to-let advice activity.”
