02 December 2024
The Intermediary Mortgage Lenders Association (IMLA) is delighted to learn of the appointment of Stephanie Charman as the new chief executive of the Association of Mortgage Intermediaries (AMI).
Charman, current group partnerships and propositions director at Sesame Bankhall Group (SBG), will succeed Robert Sinclair, who is to retire in early 2025.
Kate Davies, executive director of IMLA, said:
“IMLA and AMI work very closely together to foster greater understanding between lenders and brokers, influence government and regulatory policy and share knowledge and expertise for the betterment of our industry.
“We would like to take this opportunity to thank Robert for his long service and invaluable contribution to the mortgage industry – we have very much enjoyed the collaboration of our complementary trade bodies over the years.
“We are delighted to congratulate Stephanie on her appointment. Her long experience in the market and passion for the intermediary role make her perfectly placed to lead AMI onto the next chapter, and we look forward to working effectively with her as we continue to address market challenges, promote the best regulatory outcomes and evolve the lender/broker relationship.”
