Conveyancing panel manager Movin Legal has expanded its suite of services by launching a new Digital Home Survey function in collaboration with Legal & General. This latest enhancement enables brokers to order a property survey at the point of instruction, providing greater convenience and efficiency for homebuyers.
Movin Legal already offers an extensive independent panel of conveyancing solicitors, all operating under strict service level agreements. Now, with the integration of Legal & General’s widely recognised Digital Home Survey, users of the Movin Legal platform can access this valuable add-on alongside existing features such as expedited searches, homebuyer protection and exclusive reward benefits.
The Digital Home Survey is a fully digital report for a home buyer designed by Legal & General Surveying Services. A RICS-qualified surveyor conducts a thorough inspection of the property, assessing key areas such as the roof, walls, damp and timber. Following the inspection, a comprehensive, easy-to-understand digital report is typically delivered within 48 hours.
One of the standout features of the Digital Home Survey is its intuitive design and the opportunity to speak to the surveyor before and after the inspection The report highlights any defects or issues using photographs and a traffic-light grading system, allowing buyers to quickly gauge the severity of potential problems. Additionally, home buyers are able to easily share informationwith tradespeople and repair solutions, from the report. They can obtain trade quotes which can also be leveraged in negotiations with the seller if necessary.
With its user-friendly layout and clear, visual presentation, the Digital Home Survey eliminates the complexity of traditional lengthy reports, offering a streamlined experience for buyers.
