SortRefer scoops mortgage industry “Oscar”

Derby-based company earns the plaudits of its peers as it is crowned the UK’s leading provider of conveyancing services
SortRefer has been voted the UK’s No1 Conveyancing Service at one of the mortgage industry’s most prestigious and high profile events.
Against stiff competition, the Derby-based company won the Best Conveyancing Service – Panel Managers category at the Mortgage Strategy Awards – an event attended by more than 1,000 senior members of the mortgage and financial services industries.
The awards are regarded as the “Oscars” of the mortgage industry and are highly prized.
Judges described the company’s website – which drives SortRefer’s online business – as “innovative” and praised the company for delivering standards of service that are “beyond the call of duty”.
“We are naturally delighted to have been singled out for recognition,” commented Kevin Tunnicliffe, Managing Director of SortRefer.
“Since the business started, the whole team has put in a huge amount of effort to make our proposition to Mortgage Brokers and Financial Advisers as attractive as it is. So to win this award is a cause for celebration.
“We travelled to the awards simply delighted to be in the same company as some of the biggest names in the mortgage industry – and competing against businesses that are currently 10 times our size.

A total of 28 industry heavyweights judged this year’s event – drawn from some of the biggest and most respected financial services companies in the UK.
This year’s success follows SortRefer receiving a commendation in the 2013 MoneyFacts Awards – and Kevin Tunnicliffe hopes that these are the first of many awards that SortRefer pick up over the coming years.
Since it’s launch just over four years ago – as a business-to-business company – SortRefer has gone from strength to strength.
More than 2000 Mortgage Brokers and Financial Advisers currently use the company’s services – and business volumes are projected to grow by more than 200% during 2014.
