3rd December 2015: General insurance provider, Berkeley Alexander, has today announced that it has partnered with specialist managing general agent Modus, to bring its Home Insurance Plus product to the BA panel.
Home Insurance Plus is an auto-rated, Lloyd’s backed product providing competitively priced coverage for a wide range of properties, property usage and policyholders. With wide quotability, it includes cover for buildings, contents and personal possessions for both standard and complex risks, such as non-standard construction, listed buildings, holiday homes, landlord buy to let and unoccupied properties. Most policyholders will be considered including professional tenants, benefits-assisted tenants, lodgers, students, asylum seekers, home workers and those with previous bankruptcy or claims history.
Speaking about the deal Geoff Hall, Managing Director, Berkeley Alexander, commented:
“We are excited to be working with Modus, and to be able to add such a truly innovative product to our online portfolio. We are all about delivering the widest possible choice for brokers and their clients, even those that fall outside of the norm, and Modus is exactly the same. There is a very strong cultural fit here. This is a great addition to our household panel, which without doubt offers one of the broadest possible ranges of products available anywhere in the market.”
Scott Banks, Director at Modus, said:
“We are delighted to be working with Berkeley Alexander and give its broker partners access to Home Insurance Plus. Designed 100% with the customer in mind, Home Insurance Plus offers cover for risks that all too often other insurers steer clear of. We give brokers the ability to provide their clients with competitively priced cover for even the most complex of personal circumstances thereby boosting customer service, conversion rates and ultimately their bottom line.”
